Horticulture

This course focuses on plant physiology and growth, environmental requirements necessary for plant growth, classification of plants and plant taxonomy, horticultural growing structures, propagation of plants, understanding of horticulture tools and equipment, and pest management techniques. Students will use the district greenhouse for their learning lab and a culmination of a plant sale.
 

Natural Resources

Grades: 10-12

This course focuses on the studies and activities relating the natural environment and its conservation, use and improvement, including climate, air, soil, water, land, fish, wildlife and plant resources. They will explore topics around the recreational and economic uses of renewable and nonrenewable natural resources and the impacts on earth's systems.

Ag Leadership

Students will learn FFA basics, history, FFA chapter operations, and explore and participate in various leadership programs within FFA.
